Here is the Sandeep lamichhane biography details:-Sandeep Lamichanne was born on 2 August 2000 in Aruchaur,Syangja, Gandaki Province. During his childhood,he was inspired by Cricket Legend Sachin Tendulkar and Australian Bowler Shane Warne as his idols.He then moved to Chitwan district and started training at Chitwan Cricket Academy, which was run by former captain of Nepal, Raju Khadka. Raju Khadka is former Nepalese all-rounder cricketer. Raju Khadka made his debut in 1996 for Nepal against Bangladesh.
Once, During a visit by the captain Paras Khadka and Coach of Nepal Cricket team Pubudu Dasanayake, Lamichanne was asked to bowl in the nets. His performance impressed the coach, then he was selected for Nepal Under-19 training camp. Dasnayake was the first person who first spotted Lamichanne’s talent when he was just 14 years old
Sandeep Lamichanne is also a singer and uploads his songs and music videos on his YouTube channel.
In July 2018, Lamichanne released his first song Udash Thiyo from the Album Pratiksha- the waiting.
Cricket Career
Sandeep Lamichanne made his list A cricket debut in the 2015-17 ICC World Cricket League Championship on 16April 2016 against Namibia.
Prior to his List A debut, he was named in Nepal’s unde-19 Squad for the 2016, Under-19 Cricket World Cup
In their second match against Ireland Under-19 team, he took hatrick with his attacking bowling technique. He became the fifth bowler to take hatrick in the under-19 World Cup history. He was the man of the match for his outstanding figure 5/27 against Ireland.
He finish the tournament as second highest wicket taker at an average of 17 and at a strike rate of 21.
In 2017, ACC under-19 Asia Cup, he took bowling figures of 5/8 which restricted Malaysia under-19 team to a total of 45 and was named Man of the Match.

- In January 2018, Lamichanne was included in the list of players for auction in the 2018 Indian Premiere League(IPL). He was bought by Delhi Daredevils and became the first Nepalese cricketer to get a contract in the IPL. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi commented that the relationship between India and Nepal had been strengthened because of signing.

Rape Allegations
A police complaint was filed by a girl, 6 September 2022, accusing Lamichanne of raping her on the night of 21 August in a hotel room in Kathmandu. Police conformed that the CCTV footage of the hotel revealed, Lamichanne was staying with the girl. On October 8, Kathmandu district court authorised the arrest of Lamichanne for further investigation. During when arrest warrant was issued against him, he was part of 2022 Carribbean Premiere League representing Jamaica Tallawahs. Soon after the news broke out regarding his rape allegations, he pulled out of Carribbean Premiere League but denied any wrongdoing.
Consequently, Nepal’s cricket governing body, Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) suspended Lamichanne from the national team.
Police in Nepal issued a diffusion notice through Interpol against Lamichanne. As a result of of the notice Lamichanne was added to the Interpol police fugitive list.
Lamichanne surrendered himself into the Nepal police on 6 October, 2022 and was taken into custody by the police. After 4 days, Lamichanne get’s remanded for seven days to let the police continue the investigation, then the remand extended for another 11 days.
Responding to a review petition filed by Lamichanne, a joint bench of judges Dhruva Raj Nanda and Ramesh Dahal from Patan High Court, on 2 January 2023, orders to release him on bail of Rs. 2million .
On 29, December 2023, Kathmandu district court convicted Lamichanne of raping a girl by taking advantage of her financial condition.
The court mandated a separate hearing for imprisonment term,as well as any fines or compensation that may be imposed on 20 January.
The court however has determined that the girl Lamichanne raped was not a minor.
