South Korean actor Lee Sun-kyun of the Oscar winning film PARASITE died at the age 48 in central Seol in an apartment suiside . Lee Sun Kyun was a South Korean actor(Born on 2March, 1975). Internationally he was known for his role in Bong Joon ho’s Academy Award winning film Parasite (Released in 2019), for which he won a screen Actors Guild Award along with his caste mates.He also received International Emmy Award.

Lee Sun Kyun Played many supporting roles for many years, Lee Sun Kyun eventually achieved his break through in 2007 with a critically louded Medical drama White Tower.Then he got an opportunity to work in highly popular romantic series Coffee Prince.
Besides, Coffee Prince he worked with director Lee Yoon -jung two other times. He worked in sports theme movie Taereung National Village in 2005 and in the slice of life drama Tripple in 2009.
Lee was also appointed as the ambassador for the Health Insurance Review Agency in 2007, and won an award from the Korean Advertiser’s Association in 2008.

He acted in several films and shows and became a house hold name in the 2010s. His shows “Behind the White Towers”, “Pasta”, (2010) and “My Mister “(2018) were huge hits.
Mr Lee is most recognised for his role as Park Dong-ik, the father of the wealthy family that owns the home in the award winning movie “Parasite” which was released in 2009. He was awarded a Screen Actors Guild Awards along with the rest of the movie cast.
Drug Alleged
Mr Lee had been under police investigation over his alleged use of marijuana and other psychoactive drugs. The investigation caused damage to the actors reputation and he was dropped from “No Way Out” , a mystery TV series.
Death
On December 27, 2023 at the age of 48, Lee was found dead inside his car at park in central Seol, South Korea.
The police earlier received a report from his wife that Lee had left home after writing a memo akin to a suiside note.
Lee’s funeral was held at the funeral hall of Seol National University Hospital, the burial will be held on 29 December on Seonyeng,Buan-gun, Jeollabuk-do.
